PI College and PI University are excited to announce an open call for seasoned Investigative Professionals to provide courses for our new online schools.

PI College will be offering a variety of online classes for those individuals who are interested in becoming a private investigator. PI University will be dedicat6ed to teaching licensed private investigators or individuals currently employed in the investigative profession with specialty courses to expend their investigative skills and client services..

We are looking for skilled Private Investigators and Subject Matter Experts (SME) with excellent investigative experience to lead specialty certification courses that can range from one to twelve hours. We have more than 100 investigative course specialty instructors waiting for experienced presenters.

Instructor Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated success and experience in a specific investigative specialty
  • Experience in delivering skill-building training, in-person or online.
  • Excellent speaking and teaching skills, responsive, and learner-centric
  • Book authors, current course presenters, and public speakers are given higher priority.

This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and receive residual income for your teaching skills. So, thank you for your interest in becoming an Instructor for PI College or PI University and/or a SME and submitting your name to be part of our Certificate and Continuing Education Certification programs.

Become an Instructor or Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Click the “Apply Now” button below and complete the Instructor/SME application. Please review the application questions carefully and complete them thoroughly as incomplete applications will not be considered. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. A staff member will reach out to you to confirm receipt of your application and ask any preliminary questions.

As the need arises, PI University staff will contact applicants with the required skills and expertise to conduct a brief interview. Experience and availability will also be considered. All chosen applicants will be provided a compensation contract with the College or University.

Submit a Presentation

We are now seeking training proposals focused on educational, technical, and practical topics spanning the entire spectrum of investigative specialties. You will find a list of approximately 100 investigative specialties and topics we need instructors and SMEs for. If you do not see a specialty that you would like us to consider, please email

Submissions will be evaluated by our staff and those selected will be vetted to verify your stated level of expertise.

Submissions should include:

  • An overview and broad outline of the selected investigative specialty
  • A list of objectives for the training (4 minimum)
  • A draft version of the curriculum and related presentation
  • A resume or summary of credentials for the intended presenter(s)
  • Expected length and preferred delivery method (Video/slides/audio/live Zoom)

It is important for our ability to acquire and assign Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that any proposed topic deliver educational value vs advertising a specific product or service (even if delivered by a product or service provider).  Many College and University presenters will simply be volunteering their presentations and time as an investment to the investigative profession or in exchange for the broad industry exposure, so let us know if your circumstance would require remuneration to proceed.
